Concentrate VIII (Cabin ware)

One of the skin’s most important functions is protection
from outside influences such as harmful bacteria, viruses
or other external substances. It also provides protection
from excessive loss of moisture. This is made possible because
of the skin barrier, a mixture of keratinocytes and lipides
such as cholesterol and ceramides. If the skin barrier
is weakened because of a reduced quality or quantity of
barrier lipids, then it becomes overly sensitive to external
factors and increased trans-epidermal water loss results,
which often leads to dry skin. CONCENTRATE VIII strengthens
the skin’s own barrier in the long term by increasing
the endogenous synthesis of barrier lipids and sustainably
supplying the skin with moisture. Ceramides are essential
components of the epidermal barrier lipids and represent,
together with cholesterol and free fatty acids, the mortar in
the brick-and-mortar model.
